The microwave signals used in the threat detection system are entirely safe for people.
Threats, detected by GROK TDS, range from handguns and Person-Borne Improvised Explosive Devices to cold arms and non-metallic hidden objects. At the same time such pocket clutter as wallets, keys and cell phones is automatically discriminated to avoid false alarms.
